The area offers a variety of options for a relaxing holiday. First and foremost, of course, Sweden’s great nature. Whether you want to hike, cycle or just go for a walk, you can start straight away from here.
In Boras (about 25 minutes away by car) there is one of the three most beautiful zoos in Sweden, an outdoor pool, an indoor playground, Knalleland – a large shopping area and much more.
Gothenburg is only about an hour away and is always worth a trip, e.g. the Haga district; the Volvo Museum; Gothenburg’s archipelago; Universum; Slottskogen Gothenburg – are just a part of it.
Trollhättan is also worth a day trip. There are beautiful waterfalls and old locks from the year 1800 to marvel at.
In Annelund/Ljung there is a sale of very good homemade cheese.
In the holiday home and in the apartment there is a folder with many excursion destinations ready for you.
In winter there is a ski slope with a variety of slopes in Ulricehamn (about 25 minutes by car). There are also cross-country skiing opportunities nearby.
Supermarket, petrol station, medical centre, car repair shop, veterinarian are all in the immediate vicinity.
Information for fishing:
There is a rowing boat available which can be found on the in-house jetty and can be used for extensive exploration of the lake or a short crossing to the island.
Fishing enthusiasts will also get their money’s worth. Zander, perch, pike or carp are just waiting for you to catch them.
It is also possible to rent a larger boat with an electric motor.
The fishing license can be obtained from us in the village, very close by.
